It’s National Volunteer Week this week and we wanted to take the opportunity so say the biggest of THANK YOUs to our amazing volunteer team! Whether it’s tackling the never ending washing up mountain at Root & Branch Community Café, or helping out with Weardale Together Youth Group, or lending a hand at our events, we genuinely couldn’t do it without you all!

If you’re interested in getting involved with our work, drop us a message, we’d love to expand our fun and friendly team!

With the news that Stanhope Town Hall is on the market once again, we're thinking back to the events, parties, theatre productions, gigs and more that have happened in this amazing space over the years.

Weardale Together director Cath's 30th birthday party in a snowstorm some *cough* years ago!

And does anyone recall a production of Madame Butterfly around 2003/4?

OPEN TALKS: LAND
Book now & go!
https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/good-cave-projects

📍 The Burnlaw Centre, Hexham, NE47 8HF
⏰ Wednesday 1st April 2026

What is community land ownership? How could communities buy and look after land together in rural Northumberland? If you are interested in these questions, and would like to find out more, come and listen to Mark Walton, who co-founded and co-directed Shared Assets, a social enterprise which works with people and land for a just future. He thinks, writes and podcasts about organisational weirdness with Kate Swade at Corporate Bodies, and is a non executive Director at The Love Tank, Traveller Pride and Digital Commons.

This is the first in a series of open conversations held at Burnlaw Centre exploring community solutions to pressing issues.
