CALLING ALL KNITTERS!

We are going to make another knitted Christmas tree! Pattern for the squares is below. We are looking to have 336 green squares in order to make 4 blankets to be given to those in need.

If you are happy to make green squares (any shade of double knitting green yarn will do), you can drop them off at the Schoolrooms in Stanhope between 10.30am and midday on Mondays at Welcome Space or at Root & Branch Community Café on Thursdays and Fridays between 9.30am and 3pm.

Will keep you posted with our progress 😊

Thank you!

🤩 This week at Root & Branch and yes we've mentioned CHRISTMAS 😮 🎄 🔔 ⛄️

Thu 5th Nov 10am-1pm
🍁 Botanical casting with Eve
🎟️ Please book - www.ticketsource.com/weardale-together
Ever wanted to capture a perfect fern frond or a delicate flower in plaster forever? Join us for a hands on session of botanical casting, an ancient technique where plants are pressed into clay to create beautiful fossil like impressions, then cast in plaster to keep. You'll press fresh flowers, leaves and seed pods into soft clay, lift them away to reveal crisp little imprints, then mix and pour plaster into your own mould. While it sets there's time to make another, or just sit back with a cuppa. No experience needed, just an eye for pretty leaves and a willingness to get your hands a bit messy. All materials provided.

💛🧡🩷A quick word about our new menu 🌿

Our soups, dishes of the day, cakes and scones are all freshly made in our own kitchen, and as ingredient costs and room hire rates have risen we've made a few changes to our prices to keep the café going.

If things are a bit tight at the moment, we'd love to help.
Ask about our Eat Together card, so you can order what you fancy and stay as long as you like.

Thank you for your continued support of Root & Branch, we couldn’t do it without you. Kettle's on! ☕

PS we’ve got fancy hot chocolate now! 🍫 ☕️
