⚓️ A huge well done to our cadets who took part in the Trafalgar Day Parade! 👏

Being part of such a special and historic occasion is a fantastic experience and something to be proud of.

Our cadets looked incredibly smart and represented the unit brilliantly throughout the parade. It’s always fantastic to see them taking up these opportunities and showcasing the very best of Sea Cadets.

You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. You did the unit proud! 💙⚓️

Tonight, as part of our Leadership Development Programme, we handed over the reins of the Unit to our Senior Cadets, giving them the opportunity to take the helm, make decisions and lead the Unit for the evening! 👏

A bit of a role reversal! As you can see in the photo, some of our Adult Volunteers stepped into roles normally undertaken by cadets, allowing our Senior Cadets to experience the challenges and responsibilities of leadership first hand!

This was a fantastic opportunity for our young leaders to put theory into practice, build confidence, develop their decision making skills and demonstrate the leadership qualities they’ve been working hard to develop. 💪

As we celebrate National Cadet Week, tonight is a brilliant example of what the Cadet Experience is all about, empowering young people, developing future leaders and giving them the skills and confidence to succeed.

A huge well done to our Senior Cadets for stepping up to the challenge, and to our Adult Volunteers for embracing their new roles! 👏

Last night our juniors worked as a team to complete a puzzle on flags of the world and capital countries. They had great fun and used their problem solving skills.

A proud moment to reflect on from earlier this week.

It was a privilege to be part of the naming ceremony for Royal Daffodil, marking another chapter in Liverpool City Region’s proud maritime story.

It was also fantastic to see the Sea Cadets involved on the day. Their presence felt particularly fitting for an occasion celebrating our connection to the River Mersey, our maritime heritage and the generations who will carry that tradition forward.

A memorable day, and wonderful to see the Royal Daffodil officially named and ready to become part of life on the Mersey.

A Moment in Mersey Maritime History!

Birkenhead Sea Cadets were incredibly proud to be involved in the official naming ceremony of the new Mersey Ferry, Royal Daffodil.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to play a part in such a significant occasion and to help mark a moment in the history of the River Mersey.

Our cadets represented the unit superbly throughout the event and were a real credit to Sea Cadets. We were especially proud to hear the many compliments they received from dignitaries and guests from across the Liverpool City Region.

A memorable day, and one our cadets can proudly say they were part of! ⚓

A very special day on the Mersey! ⚓

We are delighted to be supporting the naming ceremony for the newest addition to the Mersey Ferries fleet — proudly built in Birkenhead and ready to serve communities across the Liverpool City Region for many years to come.

It is a privilege for our cadets and volunteers to play a part in this prestigious event and to be present for a real moment in our region’s maritime history.

The occasion is made even more special for us as one of our very own volunteers, PO Steel, is also one of the Captains with Mersey Ferries.

A fantastic celebration of our maritime heritage, the people who keep it alive, and the next generation who will carry it forward. ⚓

Fair winds and following seas to the newest member of the Mersey Ferries fleet! 🌊

🌊 Summer Afloat Training! ⛵

Our Summer Afloat Season runs from April to August, and this year our cadets have spent an incredible 1,621 hours on the water! 👏

It’s a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, enthusiasm and hard work shown by our cadets throughout the season. Along the way, they’ve developed their skills, gained new qualifications and, best of all, had plenty of fun doing it! ⚓

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated instructors and volunteers, who generously give their time, skills and experience to make it all possible, and to Sea Cadets Crosby Boat Station for hosting us throughout the season.

And, of course, we can’t forget our drivers and supervisors, whose support helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

It really is a fantastic team effort to provide these opportunities for our cadets.

⚓ Well done to everyone involved — 1,621 hours is an amazing achievement and a summer to be proud of!
