We are recruiting volunteers!!🤩🤩🤩🤩

We have recently expanded our food provision in our community cafe. We are looking for volunteers to help run the cafe. We are also recruiting for other roles across the centre. A variety of roles are needed including:

-Cafe assistants👩🏻‍🍳: Heating and plating up food, making drinks, doing dishes, general cleaning and tidying of the kitchen area

-Cafe befrienders👭: Chatting to beneficiaries in the cafe, discussing problems beneficiaries are experiencing, working with staff to help beneficiaries access support, referring into SVP services

-Reception👋: Greeting beneficiaries and directing them to the help they need. Chatting to beneficiaries while they wait for foodbank.

-Cleaning🧽: General cleaning around the building including hoovering, wiping down services, ensuring facilities are clean.

What on at the St Vincent’s Centre in 2026?

📍 15 – 19 Grange Road West (Birkenhead Town Centre) known affectionately by locals as Wotsit Street 😉

☕️Our Community Café is open Monday – Friday 10:30 – 3PM. If you are in need or just want to have friendly chat and a Cuppa. We Are Now offering Free hot food!! From Cheese on Toast to Curry and Chips, our food offerings are different everyday, so why not pop in and see what is going on!

🧥Our Clothes Bank is open Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings 10:30 – 12pm. You can call us at 0151 673 1313 to check if it’s open. All Free, donations welcome.

🥦Vinnie's Pantry Every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm providing fresh ingredients for you to take home.

⛑️In an emergency, we will always help. Please come in and speak to one of our staff members or volunteers.

💻Café Connect – Do you need help accessing the internet? Our digital buddies can help you with supported internet access, social media, accessing government support schemes, managing benefit claims online, price comparison sites, and more! If you need help you can call us on 0151 673 1313 to book an appointment, or drop in on Wednesday afternoons 1pm – 3pm.

We’re proud to host Wirral Foodbank at the St Vincent's Centre. Helping local people with emergency food supplies.

📍15 - 19 Grange Road West, Birkenhead.

🍱The Foodbank is now here 12:30 - 2:30 Monday to Friday.

If you need help with food from Wirral Foodbank, you first need to get a foodbank voucher - you can call Wirral Council on 0151 606 2005 for help with this. For any Foodbank related queries you can call the Foodbank office on 0151 638 7090

🥦Vinnie's Pantry will be restarting again next week.
