Thank you to people who have been dropping off donations! 🌟🫶

One of our team members felt very popular helping to hand items out 😇

If anyone is interested in dropping off items, mens clothes would be appreciated, we have enough donations for women at the moment thanks to recent help from supporters 💜🌸

I'm sure we are all hearing that annual question: have you put your heating on yet?

Because it's that time of year, and the cost of living remains a challenge for so many of us, let's try a new energy-saving trick this winter! 🌨

See four of our favourite ways to cut down on gas bills - do you already do all of them?? If so, have you noticed a difference in your bills?

Did you know, it typically costs less than 4p an hour to use a heated blanket!!! You learn something new every day

It's concerning to realise that two children born in different parts of Wirral today could have life expectancies more than a decade apart.

Health inequality is a primary issue within the Wirral, and to be addressed, it first needs to be recognised!

Spread the word! 💪

Throwback Thursday! Birkenhead YMCA in the 60s and 70s 🫶

Pictures include a camping trip in 1978 at Wirral Country Park, magazine reading in 1964, and welcoming a group of visiting German youths in 1973 in the Summer holidays.

If you have any more information about the photos, let us know!

We have so many more photos like this, shall we keep posting them??

Meet George - one of 56 residents here at YMCA Wirral.

George is battling stage four cancer, and wanted a nostalgic day out to enjoy the simple thrills of theme park roller coasters whilst his health allows. He's pictured at Alton Towers with staff member Andy.

We are all in your corner George! 🤩

We're inviting families across Wirral to join YMCA Wirral's Scare Away Homelessness campaign and help support local people experiencing homelessness.

The idea is simple: while the little monsters are out trick-or-treating, they can help spread a little kindness too! With a printable fundraising sign and QR code from YMCA Wirral, children and their families can invite friends, neighbours and anyone who wants to help to donate directly to our JustGiving page.

No collecting cash. No complicated fundraising. Just a fun, family-friendly way to make a difference in our local community.
