🌱 What happens when a neglected space is given back to the community?

In this clip from our recent appearance on the Innervision: Business Beyond Barriers podcast, our Founder and Programme Director, Duane Chong, shares how a once fly-tipped, derelict site in Birkenhead has been transformed into a thriving community garden.

From volunteering opportunities and children's activities to cookery sessions and growing fresh produce, it's a powerful example of what can happen when communities are empowered to reconnect with nature.

We’re looking for people with lived experience of the issues grassroots groups are tackling social justice, climate, housing, wellbeing, animal rights and more. You’ll shape priorities, hold the team accountable, and help build a stronger movement.

Who: The Social Change Nest
What: Advisory Collective Member
Where: Remote (UK-based) + 1 in-person meet-up per year (travel covered)
When: 4 meetings/year, 2.5 hrs each
Honorarium: £350/day

Women, non-binary people, Global Majority communities and other marginalised groups strongly encouraged to apply. Support for interpreters, childcare and personal carers available.

We've got two new faces joining the team and we couldn't be happier. Please welcome Kristian (Marketing Lead) and Rachael (Deputy Operations Manager) to Grow Wellbeing.

Kristian brings over a decade of storytelling for purpose-led organisations and a lifelong love of nature.

Rachael is passionate about inclusive green spaces and making sure everyone can connect with the outdoors.
