Queen’s Park Community Organisation (QPCO) is a charitable incorporated organisation working to reduce social exclusion and promote inclusion in Bedford. We aim to relieve poverty, improve physical and mental well-being, and develop the skills of socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Through recreation, education, and advocacy, we help people integrate, participate, and improve thei
r quality of life. We actively build bridges between Bedford’s diverse communities - bringing together mosques, churches, gurdwaras, community centres, schools, grassroots organisations, and local volunteers to identify and meet unmet community needs through shared resources and collaboration. Current Projects and Services:
• 🗣️Advocacy & Outreach: Intervention officers support individuals facing complex challenges.
• 🛑Domestic Abuse Project: Providing temporary accommodation, food, travel, and essential items.
• 🌐Interpreting Services: Helping partner organisations overcome language barriers.
• 📈Capacity Building: Supporting community groups to develop, grow, and become sustainable.
