This is the Boozinstoke Rockin' Fraternity. An eclectic mix of Rockabillys, Psychobilly's, Teds, Rockers...in fact anyone into the alcohol fuelled, fun-loving, underground, life-style choice of todays 'Rockin scene'. Christened 'Boozinstoke' by the South Coast guys way back in the 1980's for the copious amounts of alcohol consumed at various gigs, All-dayers and Weekenders we frequented. This rockin' vice has been proudly continued by further generations that are embracing
the scene, and also those that are not in the confines of Basingstoke but share the ideals of a 'Fraternity' that look out for each other, live for the music and style, and above all want to have as much fun as possible surrounded by likeminded friends. This is not a club but a friendship we all have.....
The bottom line is, we like getting pi$$ed listening to
rock 'n' roll with our mates. Please don't use this to voice political views or non-rockin stuff or to have 'I used to be a...' and bait this site with other scene sh*te. No-one is interested.

Why do you have the logo of a rockabilly venue tattooed on you?
Great question!
Boozinstoke isn’t just a venue, it’s got history and it’s more of an ethos and shared ethics with a strong bond of friendship - and that’s just the start!
I’m very proud to be part of BRF, and although Politics and ideas on religion may differ individually - we park that when we party.
Respect to this Country’s armed forces however is a deep one. Darrel Higham even picked up that vibe within the lyrics of the song ‘Boozinstoke Bop’ and therefore I know I can speak for all that our Poppies this month are worn with pride - but even then that pride is a 365 day a year feeling.
Bless all those who have served and continue to serve - we are grateful and proud.
So yeah. That’s just one of the reasons I wear that Skull and Ales on my skin.

Many good reviews but obviously we concentrate on OUR one and the Eddie Vortex night with Neil Dowling, Mark Loveridge, Chris Cook, Nigel Parsler and Aaron Jumpin Around Killner at the Royal Oak Basingstoke including buffet courtesy of Johnny Cochran!
News just in - EDDIE VORTEX and the CUPID STUNTS are back at the Oak for the BRF September 2027 …. Couldn’t have kept it secret ….

That BRF crowd that took over one of the actual Cinema Screens in Basingstoke for a private showing of classic movie ‘THE WANDERERS’
B**r and popcorn and in unison “Leave the kid alone!” …. The day after our John Lewis gig and march to the cinema from the Royal Oak Basingstoke and back again.
Even got ourselves into the brilliant Vintage Rock magazine!

Wishing the Legend Cardboard Rob a very Happy Birthday!
This DJ kept us company throughout the pandemic and a regular disc spinner at the BRF. A Brother and a Gentleman we are blessed having you as family.
We wish the 3D version of Rob our love and best wishes for today, but we can’t do this without mentioning his iconic 2D version who accompanied us to Spain.
This popular and most photographed individual could not have cared less about authority and was regularly found on stage with Bands and DJ’s - but also in doorways, behind bars, under wheels and diverting traffic … if you know? You know!
