Looking to learn new recipes, improve your cooking skills, and enjoy great company? Our friendly evening cooking class is the perfect place to do just that in support of TNL Community Fund

On Tuesday, 26 May, we made cinnamon walnut roll cookies together. It was a lovely recipe to prepare, share, and enjoy — a sweet little memory from our kitchen.

Another lovely evening at our Community Cooking Class last week 🌙🍲

The session was filled with great food, new skills, laughter, and meaningful conversations. It was wonderful to see people from different backgrounds coming together, cooking side by side, and building friendships in such a warm atmosphere.

This week, we explored a delicious dish from world cuisine: Uzbek Plov.

With rice, tender meat, carrots, onions, and warm spices, Uzbek Plov is more than just a meal — it is a traditional dish that brings people together around the table.

Our participants discovered how simple ingredients can turn into a rich and flavorful dish when cooked with care and patience. It was a wonderful experience to explore a new culture through food.

Week 6 of our cooking class was simply wonderful! 🌿🍲 An evening session filled with warmth, laughter, and a real sense of community.

We cooked potato salad and Turkish savoury pastries (poğaça) and enjoyed sharing the food together.

What made it special was the conversation, dialogue, and friendship around the table — people connecting, sharing stories, and enjoying the moment together.

In this week’s class, we prepared a delicious Chicken with Potatoes & Béchamel recipe and also showed how to make homemade yogurt step by step.

It was a lovely session full of flavor, learning, and sharing. From the creamy baked chicken dish to the fresh homemade yogurt, we enjoyed discovering how simple ingredients can turn into comforting homemade meals.

In our cooking class, we prepared delicious chocolate-dipped cookies together with our wonderful participants 🍪

Everyone enjoyed shaping the soft dough, adding patterns, and finishing each cookie with chocolate and their choice of toppings. From pistachios and coconut to walnuts and sprinkles, there was plenty of creativity on display.

It was a warm, joyful session from start to finish, filled with smiles, shared moments, and the simple pleasure of baking together.

The cookies turned out buttery, delicate, and truly irresistible.

🍳✨ Our Cooking Class in Oxford – A Wonderful Session! ✨🍳

We were delighted to host our cooking class yesterday in Oxford, in partnership with Dialogue Society Oxford.

This programme, generously funded by the The National Lottery Community Fund , brings people together through the joy of cooking, while building connections and strengthening our community here in Oxford. 🧑‍🍳💛

The session was filled with warmth, laughter, and a wonderful sense of togetherness. Participants enjoyed preparing delicious dishes, learning new skills, and getting to know one another.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and supported this initiative. We look forward to many more inspiring sessions ahead!
