Volunteer Spotlight: Sharing a Passion for Gardening

At Inspero, our volunteers make a real difference by sharing their time, knowledge and skills with our community.

Patrick Hennessey brings a wealth of horticultural experience to our Community Garden, having spent 23 years as Head Gardener at the Colman Estate before retiring.

Discovering Inspero gave Patrick the opportunity to continue doing what he loves while helping others develop their own gardening skills. Through his guidance and encouragement, participants can learn, build confidence and experience the positive impact that spending time outdoors can have on their wellbeing.

Patrick is a wonderful example of how sharing a lifelong passion can benefit others and help our community flourish.

A huge thank you to Patrick for the time, expertise and enthusiasm he brings to Inspero!

Growing Fresh Food, Supporting Our Community

At Inspero, our community garden does more than bring people together. It helps provide fresh, nutritious fruit and vegetables for local people who need them most.

By growing organic produce and donating it to our Food Bank, we help make healthy food more accessible to individuals and families, while reducing food waste and strengthening our local community.

Every harvest makes a difference, helping us nurture both people and the environment.

Meet Our Trustee: Songul Adams

At Inspero, our trustees bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and ideas to the work we do and Songul Adams is a wonderful example.

As Head of Computing at a Basingstoke academy, Songul is passionate about supporting children and helping them develop the skills and confidence they need both in and beyond the classroom.

She also brings her love of Mediterranean food and healthy living into our programmes, helping young people discover the importance of making positive choices.

We’re grateful for the time, knowledge and enthusiasm Songul brings to Inspero and the difference she helps us make in our community.
