At last something might be happening at Hackwood:
"Hackwood Park estate is set for a sensitive revival that will preserve its considerable historical and cultural value, returning this cherished landmark to its former glory. Spanning 260 acres in the Hampshire countryside, the estate has not been occupied for 15 years. The Maybourne Group – renowned for restoring and enhancing notable historic properties – proposes a meticulous plan to safeguard its future. This includes transforming the main house into a high-quality country house hotel and creating space for cultural events in the beautifully restored outdoor amphitheatre"

The estate’s significance is evident in its Grade II* listed main house and Grade I listed parks and gardens, as well as other listed buildings such as the stable block and riding school. Together, these features highlight its extraordinary national heritage value.
