🧡💜 Celebrating four years of leadership!

Today marks four years since Marie Gould joined North Devon Voluntary Services as our Chief Officer!

Four years of change, challenges, achievements, learning and development, all underpinned by a shared passion for supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector across North Devon.

A huge thank you to Marie for her dedication, enthusiasm, compassionate leadership and commitment to helping NDVS evolve, grow and continue making a difference.

Of course, none of this happens without our wonderful team, trustees, volunteers, partners and the incredible organisations we’re privileged to support.

Following this week’s AGM, we’re entering an exciting new chapter for NDVS, with a new Chair, an evolving strategic direction and plenty more to share.

👀 Watch this space as we continue telling The Story of NDVS; celebrating our people, our partnerships, our impact and our future.

But first, we’re wishing Marie a very well-earned break! ☀️

A fabulous, full on and productive day at North Devon Voluntary Services today, with our AGM, Board and team meeting!

A wonderful opportunity to reflect on the past year, recognise the dedication of our team and trustees, and look ahead to the next chapter for NDVS.

There are some exciting developments ahead as we continue to shape our strategic direction and future-proof NDVS, ensuring we can keep strengthening, connecting, championing and supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector across North Devon.

Our annual report will very soon be ready to be published

Can you help ?

🛻 We're putting out a friendly call to our North Devon community.
Demand for our community transport service continues to grow, and we really need a few more volunteer drivers who could offer us a little regular time each week.
Perhaps you're retired and still active, an ex-service person, have worked in the emergency services or on the frontline, work shifts, work part-time, or simply have some spare time and would like to put it to really good use.
You don't need a particular background. You just need to be a kind person, a confident driver and happy to help.
Our volunteer drivers use their own cars to help older and vulnerable people get to medical appointments, shopping, social activities and other important journeys.
For some of the people we support, that journey is about much more than getting from A to B. It can help them stay independent, connected to their community and less isolated.
We're particularly keen to hear from people who might be able to manage more than one journey a week, but please don't let that put you off getting in touch. We'd much rather have a chat and see what might work for you.
A few hours of your time could make an enormous difference to somebody else's week.
Training and support are provided, along with out-of-pocket / fuel expenses.
Interested, or just fancy finding out a bit more?
Call Age Well North Devon on 01271 445134.
No pressure and no big sales pitch, just have a chat with us and see whether it might be for you.

𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐃𝐕𝐒!!!

Today we'd like to recognise the amazing team at North Devon Voluntary Services - NDVS and extend our thanks for all that they do!
Throughout The Woodyards journey, NDVS have hosted us, provided financial support and guidance, managed our Project Coordinators payroll, HR and supervision, enabled collaborative work and have offered a safe and supportive starting point from which we could grow, with their advice on hand. Not only that, but members of their team regularly attend our Mindful Mondays and Quiz Nights and ensure that their support is accessible to not only us, but our other attendees.
Since day one, they've been welcoming, knowledgeable and consistently available whenever we've needed their help. Their belief in what we are doing and their commitment to helping organisations succeed has made our growth into becoming our own established CIC infinitely easier and we wanted to shout it from the rooftops!
NDVS supports charities, social enterprises and community groups across North Devon with everything from governance and funding advice to volunteer support, training and organisational development.
We're incredibly grateful for all they've done for The Woodyard, and we'd encourage anyone involved in community work to explore what they have to offer. You can find out about their services here: NDVS | Volunteering Opportunities in North Devon
Thank you, NDVS. Your incredible support helps organisations like ours make a real difference.
