Sunday evening thoughtsโ€ฆ

Community isnโ€™t built in a day.

Itโ€™s built through people giving up their time, supporting local events, lending a hand when itโ€™s needed, and taking pride in the place they live.

Over the past year weโ€™ve had the opportunity to meet new people, welcome different groups into Ballygrainey Orange Hall, and listen to ideas about how the hall can continue to develop and serve the wider community.

Thereโ€™s still plenty to do, but weโ€™re excited about the future and grateful for everyone who has played a part in the journey so far.

Whether youโ€™ve attended an event, completed a survey, volunteered your time, shared a post or simply offered encouragement โ€“ thank you.

Have a great week ahead.

Cottown L.O.L. 1029 is continuing to look ahead.

Over the past while, a lot of work has gone into strengthening the Lodge, improving Ballygrainey Orange Hall, and thinking seriously about how we keep both active and useful for the future.

The next step is getting more people involved.

That might mean joining the Lodge, helping with events, supporting the hall, sharing ideas or simply coming along to see what weโ€™re about.

Every organisation needs people behind it, and Cottown is no different.

We have a proud history, but the future will be built by the people who step forward now.

If youโ€™d like to get involved or find out more, message the page.

Proud of our past. Building for the future.

The UDR Benevolent Fund are pleased to share the dates for our upcoming advice and support drop-in clinics across Northern Ireland.

The May clinics mark the initial launch of this service, with further locations set to be added across Northern Ireland in the coming months.

These clinics give UDR veterans and their families local, confidential support in a familiar setting, as part of our ongoing work to help those who served.

Cottown L.O.L. 1029 is about more than one night, one parade, or one building.

Itโ€™s about people, community, friendship, service and keeping something meaningful going for the next generation.

As a Lodge, weโ€™re trying to build for the future, encouraging new members, supporting Ballygrainey Orange Hall, getting more people involved, improving how we organise ourselves and making sure the Lodge continues to play a positive role locally.

That doesnโ€™t happen overnight. It takes time, effort, volunteers, ideas and support.

Weโ€™d love to see more people getting involved, whether thatโ€™s joining the Lodge, helping at events, supporting the hall, sharing ideas or simply coming along to find out more.

Cottown has a proud history, but the future depends on what we build now.
