Small Grants Scheme facilitated by AGEnda on behalf of SEHSC Trust
Theme- Combatting Loneliness For Older People

- 10 x £1,000 grants scheme open to charities and community groups in the North Down & Ards area to be spent between Dec 2026-Feb 2027
- Straight-forward application and returns process
- Applicants must prove how they meet the theme for shortlisting purposes. The purpose of this funding is to support older people in the local area to combat loneliness. It is flexible how this money could be used, but it must be spent relating to the theme and must be spent within the timescale. Shortlisting will be based on the quality and potential of each application.
- Applications open 23rd Oct- 4th Nov 2026
- Decision by 18th Nov 2026
- Transfer of funds by 30th Nov 2026
- Evaluations return due 28th Feb 2027

Criteria 1. Application must clearly support the theme
2. North Down & Ards area only
3. Funding to be spent by 28th Feb 2027

🎄Christmas is coming! 🎁

This year we are planning on visiting and delivering a present to everyone connected with our services- around 300 people. We also plan on putting on a number of free activities over the period. Many of those that we work with are incredibly isolated and some will not see anyone over the holiday period.

Unfortunately, we are not specifically funded for this campaign and are dependent on donations. If anyone would like to donate to our campaign personally, or as a business, we would be very appreciative. Any donations from businesses will be shared and promoted.

🙏A huge thank you to Nadine from Reflex’O Papillon for her fundraisers during Reflexology week. Customers made a donation in exchange for a 30-minute foot reflexology session. Nadine nominated AGE north down & ards as one of the charities. We are very thankful to Nadine and all her customers!!🤲

This donation will go directly to supporting older people in north down & ards through our Christmas campaign to reduce loneliness and improve mental health and wellbeing.
