Please note, we are no longer advertising our FIDE events on the Ulster Chess Union site (as we can’t fit non-club members into our FIDE events anymore due to max table capacity) so club members need to use the ‘Upcoming Page’ on our club website to see what’s happening each month.

We have over 70 players attending on Thursday 27 November so we’re hiring both halls.

The main hall (at back of building) is for the 3 league matches + round 3 of the FIDE rated ‘60th Anniversary Classic’, 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Remember a pen!

The Maxwell Hall at the front of the building is for friendly games and the FIDE blitz part 1 (rounds 1-6) from 7:30pm to 9:45pm.

Part 2 (rounds 7-12) takes place in the front hall on Friday 28 November, 7:30pm to 9:45pm.

Both these blitz nights will mainly be for club newcomers and players rated in 1400s to 1600s.

Please double-check you are signed up for the correct event. Players unable to make it on Thursday night are still very welcome to jump into Friday’s blitz event.

Just try to give us 5 day’s notice if you’d like to play in any of these events this coming Thursday as we have limited table capacity at the venue and 15 players are attending from other league clubs so we’re capping numbers at 74.
