🔹 Event: RESTORING HOPE through GENEROSITY and KINDNESS

These two Clubs stepped up and led in the spirit of compassion and the act of giving.

9 May 2026. Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria donated a prosthetic limb to a woman who had undergone a leg amputation. The recipient was overwhelmed by gratefulness and was able to walk, a deeply moving scene that embodied hope, strength and determination. The Club members believe that when people are supported and not left alone, the humanitarian gesture strengthens the determination to overcome challenges. 12 May 2026. Inner Wheel Club of Giza covered the full cost of a heart surgery for little Malika, a 6-year-old at the Abu El Rish Children's Hospital, who suffered from a congenital heart defect. 🔹 Event: A voice of courage, a legacy of hope

The Club held a seminar entitled “Empowering Women Through Awareness: A Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention Campaign and Teen Pregnancy Awareness & Prevention”. The aim was to educate women and young people about health awareness, early prevention, and responsible decision-making. The seminar highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups, reproductive health education, self-respect, and education in building a better future. One of the most touching moments of the programme was the testimony of breast cancer warrior Fe L Ibo. Her story inspired many participants as she shared her journey with courage, faith, and hope despite her illness.

Sadly, on the night of 17 March 2026, Fe L Ibo passed away. Her death deeply saddened everyone who had heard her testimony. Although she did not overcome her battle with cancer, the strength she shared left a lasting impact on many lives. Members stepped up by offering sympathy and support to her family while continuing to spread the awareness she believed in. This experience taught us that true leadership is not only about guiding others but also about standing beside people in their moments of pain and hope. By continuing to serve with empathy and purpose, we honour her memory and truly live the meaning of “Step Up and Lead by Example.”

Unity, preparation, and inspiration mark the 20th European Meeting

The historic city of Split welcomed Inner Wheel members from across Europe to the 20th European Meeting, held from 18 to 21 September 2025 under the theme “Motivate & Grow".

This year’s Meeting had a new approach. In the months before Split, participants worked in four groups – National Representative, Proposals, Membership, and Motivate & Grow – preparing through several Zoom meetings. Thanks to this groundwork, the discussions in Split were focused, constructive, and inspiring.

🔹 Event: HEARTS IN ACTION. 1000 hand-sewn fleece blankets

The Inner Wheel Club of Citrus Heights has achieved a remarkable milestone with its ongoing fleece blanket initiative. On March 30th, the club reached an impressive milestone of making 1,000 blankets. Originally launched in 2023 as part of the IW USA challenge to complete 100 acts of kindness in honour of the Inner Wheel's 100th anniversary, the club decided to focus its efforts on creating fleece blankets for distribution to local and international charities.

One club member had a substantial supply of fleece, generously donating it to support the project’s mission. Another member offered her home as a gathering place, where members could meet once or twice a month to fringe and sew labels onto the blankets. These sessions also included potluck lunches and provided opportunities for members to connect and build camaraderie.

The club has continued its fleece blanket project, distributing blankets to a variety of charities. Blankets have been delivered to senior groups, donated to a local crisis nursery for infants and toddlers, given to organisations such as “Gifts From The Heart”, the Citrus Heights Police Department and Volunteers of America. Additionally, the club donated blankets to “Drops of Love”, a charity that distributed them to organisations in Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru.

For as long as the fleece lasts and the fingers can fringe, the Club members are determined to shoot for 2,000 or more.

The result: an engaging and memorable experience for all visitors. On 3 May 2026, the Club organised the second year of a Women's Wellness Fair (Image 2). Proceeds from this event go to support initiatives that make a tangible difference in women's lives.

18-19 Apr 2026. inspired by the Women's Wellness Fair, the Inner Wheel Club of Côte des Mégalithes (image 4) hosted one of their own (image 1), also for the second year. Building on the experience of the first year, the Club strengthened partnerships with local authorities and service providers and increased the number of sponsors. Plans are already underway for the third in March 2027.

The Clubs' goals are clearly defined: to generate donations for local organisations, to ensure exhibitors benefit from tangible commercial outcomes, and to offer visitors meaningful experiences. Exhibitors are carefully selected to ensure both diversity and alignment with the quality standards.
