We have some wonderful supporters at NW Hearts Charity, from runners, climbers, and jumpers!

Here's Avril and Ian looking fabulous in purple after their tandem sky dives earlier this year. What better way for Ian to spend his birthday! 🎉

Together they raised an incredible £1,310, including Gift Aid!

Thank you so much, Avril and Ian. This money will be spent on making a positive impact on the lives of people affected by heart disease in Greater Manchester 💜

Thanks to funding from Studiotech, based in Bredbury, NW Hearts Charity has delivered a series of three Heart Health sessions in Tameside, helping local people learn more about looking after their heart health and what to do in a heart health emergency.

Cristina Tanner, Partnerships Manager of NW Hearts Charity said:

“We are very grateful to Studiotech for funding this project. Heart Health in the community is one of NW Hearts Charities’ core objectives, and it’s wonderful when we can link businesses to support our community work. Not only does the community benefit from heart health education and new skills, but this work also supports social values; therefore, businesses benefit greatly as well. It’s fantastic to see the results of businesses and charities working together in this way to benefit the wider community”.

The next Greater Manchester ICD Support Group will be taking place in Wythenshawe on Wednesday 8th July.

The session will help ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) patients and their families or carers learn more about living with an ICD and to meet others with similar experiences.

The session will include talks and the opportunity for ICD patients to ask questions that matter the most to them.

💜 Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of premature death and health inequalities in our region.

🩷 It is the single biggest area where the NHS can save lives over the next 10 years.

💜 NW Hearts Charity funds projects in hospitals, healthcare settings and community groups in Greater Manchester to improve equipment, research, facilities, education and services for heart patients in our region.
