New partner alert! Welcome to the community Recycling Lives Charity 💚

After offering their support for our Manchester collection this year, they brought incredible positivity, vehicles, a lovely team of volunteers, and were an absolute pleasure to collect with. They truly caught the buzz for treecycling and are now taking on the challenge of running their own collection!

Recycling Lives Charity supports people facing challenges such as offending, homelessness, addiction, or unemployment by providing rehabilitation, accommodation, training, and employment opportunities to help them rebuild their lives. It also redistributes surplus food and works with communities and charities to reduce food poverty and prevent waste.

Funds raised through their tree collection will go towards supporting these much needed services.

We can’t wait to see what they will achieve in the Treecycle appeal 2027 💚🌲♻️

Instead of rotting in a landfill, the thousands of trees we collect get a brilliant second life:
🐘 Providing vital enrichment and feed for animals at local farms and zoos.
🌊 Rebuilding and protecting British coastlines from sand dune erosion.
🥾 Chipped down to create natural, safe pathways in your local parks and woodlands.

Thanks to your generous donations and our incredible volunteers, we prevented an estimated 1.4 MILLION kilos of CO2 from entering landfills this year! 🤯

Did you know, many people believe that it's bad luck to leave your Christmas decorations up after the 5th January.

If you're yet to get rid of your Christmas tree, you can recycle it with Just Helping - they've teamed up with Biffa and Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) to pick up leftover trees in return for a donation to the charity.

At Just Helping, we recognise that mental health isn’t just something to talk about once a year.

Through our Big Christmas Tree-cycle Appeal, we help raise vital funds for community charities that provide emotional support, counselling, and wellbeing services to people and families when they need it most.

Every January, our tree-cycle brings communities together with an army of selfless volunteers who give up their time to support charities close to their hearts. These amazing volunteers head out in some of the coldest, darkest days of winter and come back smiling, knowing they’ve done good, together, one tree at a time.

Volunteering with Just Helping and our partnered charities is more than a day collecting trees. It’s about connection, kindness, and community. Every year we’re so happy to see the positive impact this has on every lovely person who helps out.

We’re so proud of our community for turning some of January’s gloomiest days into some of the brightest. Thank you. 💚🙏
