We are offering Steam Train Rides this weekend , why not come along and enjoy the beautiful Northumberland countryside.

Steam train rides depart Lionheart Station at 11:00 , 12:15 , 13:45 , 15:00 with the site open from 10:00 , closes at 16:30.

🛴Outdoor Play Area - let the little ones burn off some steam!

🌳 Take a walk to the Old Hawkhill Stepping Stones and River Aln a couple of minutes from our stop at Greenrigg Halt.
Site admission is FREE - just pay for train rides!

Our Evening Talks 2026 Programme continues on Thursday September 17th at Barter Books in the original Alnwick Station building.
This month's talk is by Tom Lloyd and is titled "Railway Signalling - An AVR View of Records and Oddities".

Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.

All welcome and refreshments will be available for a small donation.

Another fantastic event at the Aln Valley Railway this coming August Bank Holiday , Teddy Bears’ Weekend.

🎟 Children travel free with a Teddy Bear and an Accompanying Adult🚂
🧸Teddy Bear Trail -collect an entry form from the shop (£1.00 per entry), then hand in completed forms to the shop and receive a small prize.
