Grampian Hospital Radio (GHR) is the radio station for Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. All of our members are volunteers. We would love to hear from you!

Broadcasting from Westburn Cottage to the patients of NHS Grampian with a wide variety of music to suit all tastes

Proud recipients of The King’s Award for Voluntary Service We broadcast 24 hours a day across the Foresterhill site with a wide range of programmes to suit all musical tastes. We currently have a group of 50-60 volunteers from different age groups and all walks of life. If you would like to volunteer why not send us an email at [email protected].

Forget your fancy pumpkins… up here in Scotland we do things a wee bit differently! 😂

Why carve a pumpkin when you can get yourself a good old NEEPIE LANTERN?! 🥔🕯️

Nothing says Halloween quite like sitting at the kitchen table, wrestling with a turnip that’s harder than granite, scooping out the insides and trying not to take your fingers off in the process! 🤣

Our Scottish ancestors clearly weren’t scared of ghosts and ghouls… they were scared of running out of tatties and neeps! 👻

So, who’s had a go at carving a neepie lantern? And be honest… did yours look like a spooky face or a rather unfortunate bit of root veg? 😂

Whatever you’re doing tonight, have a fang-tastic Halloween, stay safe, keep cosy and remember…
