🏠Fundraising Thank Yous

For this week's Thursday Thank You we had to take the chance to once again highlight the fantastic support of the Aberdeenshire Presidential Initiative. 🙌

We are in awe of the hard work and dedication that the presidential team have put in throughout this year to highlight the amazing produce, places and people of the Aberdeenshire region.

As part of this, they have brought people together through a series of brilliant fundraising events – including a golf day at Meldrum House, a dinner and dance at Thainstone, and a special lunch at The Marcliffe. Each one of these events was a huge success and highlighted the astounding generosity of the region and their agricultural community.

All this culminated in a fantastic stand at the Royal Highland Show with the people and produce of the North East at it's heart. And it was there we gathered on the Friday of the show to hear the announcement that the grand sum of £290,000 would be distributed to the initiative's supported charities – RHASS, RSABI and our own Big Build campaign. What a total!

We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation which helped push our fundraising efforts past the £1 million milestone. We are getting so close to our final goal and, with plans to break ground this September, we are asking all who can to join us in this final push to fund our new home.

That’s a wrap on the RHASS Aberdeenshire Presidential Initiative ✅
What a year it’s been – from the Royal Highland Show to events and collaborations across the North East, we’ve had a fantastic opportunity to champion our region and everything that makes it special.
There have been so many standout moments along the way – including a very special Sunday at the Show with the Lonach Highlanders and Pipe Band, which really captured the spirit and pride of the North East. We hope all those who visited our marquee took away something about Aberdeenshire that they 'didna ken afore'.

A huge thank you as well to the fantastic exhibitors who helped bring the marquee to life – Erin and Elspeth, the Aberdeen Angus cows from Ballindalloch Estate, Opportunity North East, The Press and Journal, National Trust for Scotland, Jamieson & Carry, Ballater Gallery and North East 250. Your contribution made it a real showcase of the region.

We’ve also been proud to bring people together through a series of brilliant fundraising events – from the golf day at Meldrum House, to the dinner and dance at Thainston, and the special lunch at The Marcliffe. Each one was a huge success and made possible by the generosity and support of so many.

Last Friday was a real highlight, with £290,000 distributed to the charities we’ve been supporting – RHASS, RSABI and the Young Farmers Big Build. An incredible achievement and something everyone involved should be very proud of.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved along the way – businesses, families, volunteers, supporters, the 'The Fly Cup Girls' and friends. Whether you hosted, helped, sponsored or showed up, you all played a part in making it such a success.
