The MSP West Team conducted an HIV awareness and testing outreach at Swamy Vivekananda College in Lautoka, engaging students with important information on HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care.

In collaboration with the Lautoka SRH Hub, the team covered key topics including HIV transmission and prevention, PrEP, PEP and the importance of knowing your HIV status.

The team also provided an opportunity for young people to access accurate health information and learn more about available HIV prevention, testing and treatment services.

We acknowledges the Fiji Sports Commission and Nasau Youth Training Centre for the invitation and coordination and appreciates the Sexual Reproductive Health Unit – Western and Lautoka SRH Hub for their collaboration and support.

The MSP Central Outreach Team, in collaboration with the Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation, conducted a four-day community outreach on Vatulele Island this week.

The outreach covered all four villages on the island: Lomanikaya, Ekubo, Taunovo and Bouwaqa, providing communities with a range of integrated services and information.

Services included health awareness, HIV/STI testing, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services, counselling, legal assistance, and eye and ear check-ups.

The outreach reflects the importance of bringing essential health and support services directly to communities, particularly those in island and hard-to-reach locations.

Vinaka vakalevu to the communities of Vatulele and Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation for supporting this important outreach.

This outreach was supported by UNFPA Pacific
