Last friday was a day of pure joy and pride!
We celebrated the very first Graduation Party at our Green Vocational College in Buwama, Uganda!
It feels like just yesterday that we broke ground in November 2024, starting to build a place full of hope and dreams.
On February 8, 2025, we officially opened our new campus — and yesterday, we celebrated a true milestone for our community.
✨ 62 students graduated!
21 strong, inspiring women
41 ambitious, determined men
They completed training in life-changing skills:
🛵 Motorcycle Mechanics (15 males)
✂️ Tailoring (11 females)
🔌 Domestic Electricians (13 — 4 females, 9 males)
🚰 Plumbing (8 — 4 females, 4 males)
🏗️ Building and Construction (12 males)
🏍️ Motorcycle Repair (3 males)
💇♀️ Hairdressing (6 females)
But the numbers tell only part of the story.
Among our graduates were teenage mothers who once thought they would never have a second chance — today, they walk with confidence and pride, empowered by the skills they gained at our college.
There were also young women who had been married at a very young age.
Through our community outreach, they realized the importance of education — and after completing their Hairdressing training, when asked if they would return to their old lives, they proudly say: "No!"
Because today, they see themselves at a different level — independent, skilled, and full of new dreams.
This transformation is nothing short of amazing.
Every smile, every handshake, every tear of joy yesterday reminded us why we believe so deeply in this mission.
This is not just education — it’s hope, it’s empowerment, it’s a new beginning.
