🌻 Learning, planting, and exploring agriculture!

Yesterday, students from Hanover School Division visited the Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre to learn about animal agriculture through a variety of hands-on stations.

At our AITC-M station, students discovered what plants need to grow through our Sunflower Theatre activity and planted their own sunflowers to take home. 🌱

Swipe through for a few highlights from a great day of learning!

🌱 Help us raise $13,000 for Amazing Agriculture Adventure (AAA) 2026!

Thanks to the support of our community, we’ve already raised $3,000 toward our goal.

Last year, AAA connected 890 students with Manitoba agriculture through hands-on learning experiences that helped them meet producers, explore career pathways, and learn where their food comes from.

💚 Every contribution helps create these meaningful experiences for Manitoba students.

🦬 Did you know that bison ranching helps preserve some of the last remaining native grassland habitats on the prairies?

Bison once roamed freely across Manitoba and played an important role in the lives of Indigenous Peoples. Today, bison continue to be an important part of Manitoba agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Our Foundations of Manitoba Agriculture: Bison resource helps students explore the connections between agriculture, history, food systems, and the environment. Available as levelled reading sheets or an interactive webpage to suit your classroom needs.

Perfect for classrooms looking to learn more about the animals raised in Manitoba and where our food comes from.

🌱 “It’s incredible to see the questions students start asking as they learn more about agriculture.”

That’s what stood out most to Mary Goertzen of the Manitoba Sheep Association when she volunteered with Amazing Agriculture Adventure for the first time last year.

This September, thousands of Manitoba students will experience agriculture firsthand through AAA. By sharing your story, your knowledge, and your passion for the industry, you can help students better understand the people behind the food they eat and the products they use every day.

🎥 Hear from Mary as she shares why volunteering is such a rewarding experience.

🌱 Thank you, Topigs Norsvin Canada, for the generous support for our Amazing Agriculture Adventure program!

Topig Norsvin’s sponsorship support and offer to send staff as volunteers – will help connect over 900 students with livestock, crops, and real agri-food careers at the Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre this September.

One Grade 9 student arrived knowing little about careers in agriculture. They left wanting to be a veterinarian.

We need your help! More than 40 classrooms were waitlisted in 2025, and AAA 2026 is already full! More industry partners are needed to help cover transportation, subsidize registration, and ensure no classroom is turned away.
