Announcement – Quran Classes

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce that Quran classes will be starting soon at Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr Al-Siddique.

Anyone interested in enrolling themselves or their children is requested to contact the Masjid management for admission details.

Celebrating Islamic Heritage Month at the Manitoba Legislative Building

Alhamdulillah, it was an honour to attend the Islamic Heritage Month celebration at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

I, Farhan Siddiqui, along with Adnan Siddiqui, Director of Islamic Ministries of Manitoba, and our dedicated team, including Shaykh Ahmed Emadeldin, Shaykh Abdus Salam , Imam Ibrahim, Imam Ziyad Bechir, Brother Mughees Ishaq, Brother Saif Syed, and Dr. Basharat Rana, had the privilege of meeting with:

Minister of Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport of Manitoba

• Hon. Mike Moyes,
Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Manitoba

This meaningful gathering was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Islamic heritage, recognize the valuable contributions of the Muslim community, and promote mutual understanding, respect, and unity among all Manitobans.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Hon. Nellie Kennedy for inviting me and my team to this special occasion. I sincerely appreciate her efforts in organizing this wonderful event and providing an opportunity to celebrate Islamic Heritage Month at the Legislative Building.

With deep sadness, we share the passing of our beloved community member, Sr. Naveen Ishtiaq Khan.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Br. Faisal Kamran, Wareesha Khan, and the entire family* during this difficult time.

Please keep Sr. Naveen and her family in your sincere Duas. May Allah ﷻ forgive her, shower her with His mercy, grant her Jannatul Firdaus, and grant the family Sabr-e-Jameel. Ameen.

CONGRATULATIONS on the 50th ANNIVERSARY of PIONEER MOSQUE

On behalf of Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr Al-Siddique and Community Center, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Manitoba Islamic Association (MIA) and the entire Muslim community of Winnipeg and Manitoba on the historic 50th anniversary of Pioneer Mosque, Winnipeg’s first Masjid.

It was a great honour for us to attend this special celebration and recognize five decades of faith, community, and service.

On this important occasion, I would especially like to acknowledge and thank the pioneers and founding members whose vision, sacrifices, dedication, and tireless efforts helped establish Pioneer Mosque. Their work laid a strong foundation for the Muslim community we have in Manitoba today, and their legacy continues through the generations that followed.

We also congratulate the Manitoba Islamic Association for its continued leadership, stewardship, and service to Pioneer Mosque and the wider Muslim community.

May Allah (SWT) reward the pioneers, founders, volunteers, donors, and everyone who has served this Masjid throughout the past 50 years. May He accept their efforts as Sadaqah Jariyah and continue to make Pioneer Mosque a place of faith, unity, knowledge, and service for generations to come.

Congratulations to Pioneer Mosque, MIA, and the entire Muslim community of Manitoba on this remarkable 50-year milestone.
