AANM Begins A New Chapter

We'd like to announce the creation of our own office space at 329 Cumberland Ave., where C2 Centre for Craft is also

located. Our new office allows us to continue working towards our vision and goals, giving us the advantage of establishing a solid foundation for our members. Located in a historic building in the exchange district. Parking lot on East side of building, out front and on Hargrave St. The Meet the Makers building is fully accessible. PLEASE Call us at 204 336-2366 to set up appointments. We are always seeking volunteers, artists and stake holders to expand our community and to create a diversified pool of experts in the running of our organization. 5. If you wish to provide a service to others through mentorship or coaching inquire directly at 204 336 2366. We are looking to develop some regular programming and workshops. It looks great on a CV too :)


MANDATE:

To facilitate a network of artists and stakeholders from both the arts and disability communities that supports artists with disabilities in achieving individual artistic excellence, promotes higher visibility of these artists within all disciplines and promotes policies and practices intended to make the arts more accessible to all Manitobans. GOALS:

To be the voice for artists and audiences with disabilities in Manitoba. To bring leadership on access and equity issues that impact the arts. To empower artists with disabilities by providing access to the resources they need to advance their artistic practice. To bring artists with disabilities and stakeholders together to explore and nurture a creative and inclusive community

To educate and inform the arts community, policy makers, and arts funders about artists and audiences with disabilities. To act as resource to arts organizations and institutions making their venue and services more suited to people with disabilities. To gather and disseminate relevant information to individuals and organizations in the disability and arts sectors. VISION:

Include all artists and audiences with disabilities into every facet of the arts community.
