The WestEnd Commons is a project of St Matthews Non Profit Housing Inc. Addressing the need for safe and supportive housing in the neighbourhood, the upper floors of St. Matthew's Anglican Church have been transformed into 25 homes for families. The lower level is home to the Neighbourhood Resource Center. The Centre offers permanent and occasional rental space to accommodate a wide range of progr

ams, services, events and meetings. In addition, six agencies and community groups also operate within the Centre to support the people of West Central Winnipeg. Rental space includes:
-Offices available for immediate rent
-Assembly Hall (160 ppl)
-Multi-Purpose Room (18 ppl)
-Atrium (16 ppl)
-Thelma Wynne (40 ppl)
-Drop-in Center (50 ppl)
-Commercial Kitchen (newly renovated)

This time of year always makes me slow down and notice what really matters.

As the cold settles in and the streets grow quieter, WestEnd Commons stays full of life people cooking together, sharing coffee, checking in on one another, and doing their best to get through another Winnipeg winter. I get to witness small, brave moments every day: someone settling into their first safe home in years, neighbours helping neighbours, people choosing to keep going even when things are heavy.

Winter is especially hard for many in our community. Fixed incomes stretch thinner. Isolation feels louder. And the need for connection and safety grows more urgent.

That’s why I’m reaching out.

Your donation helps keep our doors open, our lights on, and our community supported from warm meals and shared programming to emergency supports and safe, affordable housing in the West End.

More than anything, your generosity sends a powerful message: you matter, you belong, and you are not alone.

Thank You for a Wonderful Evening!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for Pasta, Purpose & Possibilities! The evening was a beautiful celebration of community — filled with good food, great music, and meaningful connection.

Because of your generosity and enthusiasm, we raised vital funds to support the ongoing work of WestEnd Commons — creating affordable housing and vibrant community space where families, seniors, and individuals can live, connect, and thrive.
