Find a welcome home for your old laptop, phone and more. Make them a part of our 20th Anniversary year with Georgette!

Four of us are travelling to Georgette's home and school in Congo
- to rehabilitate a well that has stopped pumping water;
- assess her farmland
- encourage girls to stay in school
- deliver used hotel bedding that still has years of life for her children
- provide GlobalVision 2020 Eyeglasses
- and much more

You can help by donating laptops, phones, books, and suitcases to carry them in - the bigger the better!

And, most of our trip costs are covered by those travelling and other donors - we only have $6,900 more to raise to cover the full costs.

Regular monthly contributions and occasional support together sustain Georgette’s work. Donors continue to be generous, and we are requesting $9,500 to carry her for 4 months through March 2026 as she deals with new pressures:
- Congolese Franc exchange-rate changes,
- Georgette's monthly costs now exceed Congo's Children's monthly income by $1,750, up from $550 a year ago,
- the growing needs of vulnerable families in her community, for whom she is developing income-earning opportunities,

- Now, at Christmas, your giving also provides each child with gifts of new clothing and other essentials to start the new year.

A contribution of $100.00 will feed and care for one child for a month.

We are working with Georgette to upgrade her site - providing security and stability for her children and the children in the school. See the first phase plans below. Her property is on a significant slope, from the road at the left down to the wall at the bottom is a drop of 10 meters - more than 30 feet.
- The purple line indicates where she must put up a retaining wall to prevent water from entering her property.
- There's a white portion on the lower right where she will then be able to repair a wall that was destroyed by rainwater that has been flooding her property from the road.

She will put up secure gates at the green portions, and as parents respond to the increased security, school enrollment will increase, providing resources to upgrade her educational offerings: computer and chemistry labs, new classrooms to offer new options and other improvements.

I have arrived at Georgette's Home in Kinshasa! This is my bed. My pillow is some cleverly wrapped shirts and it's hot so my 'blanket' will be my PJs .
