VON Durham A not-for-profit organization serving individuals & their families facing advanced illness and grief.

VON Durham Hospice Services is a nonprofit, community-based, charitable organization that provides non-medical emotional, social, and spiritual support to individuals, their families and caregivers who are facing advanced illness and death, as well as bereavement services to those struggling with the loss of a loved one. Our services are provided throughout Durham Region in homes, long‐term care centres, retirement homes & communities, hospital rooms and shelters.

Registration is now open for The Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care Course!

This course is open to all designations and will be offered virtually using Microsoft Teams and D2L Brightspace.

Mandatory virtual facilitated sessions:
• Thursday, September 10, 2026 (1pm to 4pm EST)
• Thursday, September 24, 2026 (1pm to 4pm EST)
• Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (1pm to 4pm EST)

Attendance at all three sessions is required. Online coursework must be completed between facilitated sessions.

Course fee: $40
