This is what community is all about. ❤️

A huge thank you to Splitz Grill for bringing the love to our Skate Jam and raising an incredible $1,500 for Zero Ceiling through an amazing BBQ! 🛹🔥

Your generosity and commitment to showing up for our community means so much. This contribution will directly support our outdoor youth programming and help create more opportunities for young people to experience connection, adventure, and possibility. 💜

We’re so grateful for the heart you put into giving back. This is what community looks like: people coming together, sharing what they can, and helping create something bigger than themselves.

Thank you, Splitz Grill for being part of it. 🙏💜

Today is a day to remember, to listen, and to recognize the truth of what happened through Canada’s residential school system and the impacts that continue today.

At Zero Ceiling, we work with Indigenous youth and have the privilege of learning from the young people and communities we connect with. Reconciliation is not a single day or a statement. It’s an ongoing responsibility to listen, build relationships, and create space for Indigenous youth to thrive on their own terms.

If you’re in Whistler today, visit the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre to learn more about the Nations whose territories we live and work on, and to take part in meaningful programming happening today: https://slcc.ca/ndtr-at-the-slcc/

And beyond today, consider where you can put your support - Indigenous-led organizations, businesses, artists, and community initiatives are doing important work across this country.

Today, we listen. 🧡

We’re often asked what graduates get up to after finishing our Housing and Employment Program.

For one graduate, it meant discovering a love for the outdoors. The mountains, trails, and sense of adventure here in Whistler really resonated, and along the way, they found a passion for running.🏃‍♂️

Their first race was the Tenderfoot Boogie, and since then they’ve completed a triathlon and set their sights on an ultramarathon!

A huge shout-out to Trail Whisperer for helping make that first step possible. It’s incredible to see where life can take you when you find something that inspires you. 🏔️🏃‍♂️

A heartfelt thank you to Mark from À La Cuisine for generously preparing our graduation dinner. 🎓✨ We don’t often get treated to such fanciness, so it was a truly special experience!
The meal was beautifully prepared; an absolute delight from start to finish, or as one of the youth shared: "THIS is 🔥 FIRE!"

Thank you for being there to witness and celebrate this graduation with us. We’re so grateful for your generosity and for the wonderful memories made around the table. ❤️

This week we're celebrating the young people graduating from the Zero Ceiling Housing and Employment program and all the courage, growth and determination that brought them here. 🎓

Karl Marx wrote, “We make our history, but not in the conditions of our choosing.”

Our graduates remind us that while we may not choose where our story begins, we can shape where it goes. Through challenge, connection and community, they’ve taken steps toward new possibilities and futures of their own making.

We’re celebrating you, and everything that comes next.
The future is yours to shape. 💜
