At Parents for Community Living, creating supportive community programs where everyone feels included is at the heart of what we do!

The Boxing Fitness Group brings together movement, encouragement, and connection in a way that supports people of all abilities.

A huge thank you to our amazing coach, Courtney from MoveMeant For All, for bringing energy, encouragement and support to every session. 💜

We look forward to sharing more moments like these soon!

Last week, Amanda, Laura, and other members of our team worked together to assemble 14 IDEA binders for PCL programs.

These binders contain social stories created by the IDEA Collective at KW Habilitation to help people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities learn about topics such as racism, inclusion, respect, and belonging.

This project helps bring important conversations about Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) directly to the people we support, making these resources available across our programs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible! 💜

Deborah’s top secret 50th birthday party was an absolute hit!

Hosted by her sister Jennifer at PCL’s Bridgeport and Lancaster location, this celebration was full of love, laughter, and one big surprise—Deborah had no idea! So many friends and family came together to make the day unforgettable. Deborah was touched and grateful for all the love she felt, and those celebrating with her were so happy to be part of her special day.

At PCL, Pride month is an opportunity for us to reflect on our vision that every person lives with dignity as a valued member of the community. We recognize that people supported by PCL, employees and family members may identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and we are committed to fostering inclusion, belonging and equity for all.

As we celebrate Pride, we reaffirm our belief in treating every person with respect, honouring individual identities, and building communities where everyone can participate fully, safely, and with Pride every day of the year.
