1,145 Minutes and One Incredible Summer!

Brennan put some serious kilometres on his shoes this summer!

Hannah, SIL DSP shared that from May 1 to August 31, Brennan logged an incredible 1,145 minutes of intentional walking — more than 19 hours! He spent much of that time enjoying trails near his apartment.

And that number doesn’t even tell the whole story! It doesn’t include walks on the beach, exploring the CNE, trips back and forth to Tim Hortons, and all the other adventures that kept Brennan moving this summer.

Brennan loves staying active, getting outside and making the most of his community. And when the results from his SIL walking group were tallied, Brennan came out on top — by a landslide! Way to go, Brennan, we are so proud of you. And thank you Hannah for keeping everyone motivated.

Happy 41st Birthday, Dawn!

Dawn celebrated her special day surrounded by family and friends, enjoying a delicious taco bowl dinner complete with Chef Jason's famous salsa and cilantro sauce. For dessert, Dawn chose a chocolate cake, and DSP Tracy surprised everyone with a Costco tuxedo cake that was enjoyed by all!

It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, good food, and great company. Thank you to everyone who helped make Dawn's birthday celebration so special.

Each year, PCL's employee wellness program centres around a theme that encourages learning, connection, and fun. This year's theme, Canada Coast to Coast, celebrated the unique cultures, landscapes, traditions, and experiences that make each province and territory special. We carried that theme into our annual Summer Games, where employees came together for a day of teamwork, friendly competition, and connection.

This day is about more than games and fun—it’s a chance to celebrate our incredible team, recharge and strengthen the connections that help us provide compassionate, person-centred support every day. When employees feel valued and connected, everyone benefits! We are so proud of our incredible team.

A huge thank you to Cravings Bubble Tea ://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61576734674558 for providing delicious Filipino street food and refreshing drinks at our 2026 PCL Summer Games!

You helped keep 125 people fed, refreshed, and happy throughout the day. The food was incredible, the drinks were perfect for a warm summer day, and your team's warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special.

We also loved learning more about Filipino culture and the important role food plays in bringing people together, creating connections, and building community.

Thank you for sharing your food, your culture, and your passion with us. We are so grateful to have had you as part of our Summer Games!
