So important and an integral part of getting these animals into their forever homes.

We have made a plea for fosters and haven’t received one application to foster. ACTION speaks, and we need your help to give these dogs a temporary safe landing while they await their forever families.

Let's talk FOSTERING! This is without doubt one of the most needed pieces of the puzzle. Whether it is for a dog/pup who is not doing well at the shelter and simply needs a safe space until something more permanent can be found, or whether it is a stepping stone for a dog/pup who is waiting for its flight/airlift and just needs a short term transitional space. Both are so important. It sets that dog/pup up for success AND creates space at the shelter for others. Right now, with an airlift planned for early November, there are so many dogs/pups who could use your help..... Yes it's hard to let them go BUT you will always know you were an important part of their journey to their happy ever after...... 🥹🫶🙏

This beautiful little girl is approximately 4 months old and is searching for her forever family! ❤️

Sasha’s story began like so many puppies in the Bahamas. She and her siblings were dumped in a box, but thankfully they were rescued and given a chance at a better life.

You may remember our beautiful brindle boy Jeremy — Sasha is his sister! There was so much attention and interest in Jeremy’s post, and we’re hoping Sasha gets just as much love and attention. 🥰

Many of you have expressed a desire to adopt a mature dog and skip the puppy stage. Well, we have an absolute gem of a girl looking for her next chapter, and she might just be the perfect addition to your family! 🏡🐶

Della is a beautiful 6-year-old mixed-breed girl who has been loved her entire life. Unfortunately, her owner’s work situation has changed, and in an effort to do what is best for Della, he has made the incredibly difficult decision to find her a new home.

Della is not your typical rescue dog. ❤️ She has never experienced life in a shelter, and she already knows the ropes of being a much-loved family companion.

She is smart, obedient, and knows what it means to be part of a home!

We think she would be especially well suited to a retired couple or someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle and has plenty of time to spend with their canine companion. Della deserves a home where she can settle in, feel safe, and enjoy all the little things that make life wonderful.

🐾 FOSTERING IS A COMMITMENT

We are looking for people who understand that adjustment takes time.

Our fosters should be familiar with the 3-3-3 rule and understand that a dog may need days, weeks or even longer to fully decompress and feel comfortable in a new environment.

Our veterinarian is located in the Waterloo Region, so foster families must be willing to facilitate veterinary appointments in that area when necessary.

💛🐾 MEET DASHY & WANDA — THEIR TIME HAS FINALLY COME! 🐾💛

These two sweet souls were originally supposed to make their way to Canada in early spring, but unfortunately, we were unable to secure a flight for them. 💔

Now, Dashy and Wanda have another chance! ✈️🐾 They have the opportunity to travel on the Wings of Rescue flight next month, and we are determined to find them the loving forever families they have been waiting for. ❤️

💛 Dashy is our handsome yellow boy and the brother of Asher, who we shared with you about a week ago. Like Asher, Dashy has an absolutely amazing personality and temperament.

🤎 Wanda is our beautiful brindle girl. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but once she warms up, her sweet personality shines through. Wanda would definitely love having another canine companion in her forever home. 🐶❤️

Both Dashy and Wanda are approximately 1 year and 9 months old and have so much love to give.
