A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Social, and to our venue host Scotiabank for giving us such a beautiful space to gather. This is the second year of our partnership with Scotiabank, and we are so grateful for their continued support of our community and the women we bring together.

Having a space like this makes all the difference. It gave us room to sit together, reflect, and have the kind of open conversations that mean so much to the women in our community.

One of our community members shared a takeaway from their conversations that felt like a reminder for us all: women achieve so much while holding multiple roles, responsibilities, and expectations, yet we so often downplay our own strength. We have been conditioned to minimize what we do and question whether we are doing enough.

Stop calling yourself “too sensitive” when something has affected you.
Stop telling yourself “I’m not doing enough” when you are already doing so much.
Stop dismissing your struggle simply because you have learned how to push through it.

Your struggle is real and so is your effort!

We are grateful we could create a space where women felt safe to share, reflect, and be reminded that we do not have to make ourselves smaller to be worthy of respect or recognition.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who made this event possible. From setup to welcoming every woman through the door, your care and dedication are the reason gatherings like this come to life. We could not do this work without you.

The BC Women in Entrepreneurship Circle was launched by Lean In Vancouver executive team in early 2026 to bring women together for open, supportive conversations about startups, innovation, and career growth.

This community is designed for women who want to learn from one another through shared experiences, meaningful connections, and honest conversations.
