BongMilanti (Metro Vancouver Bengali Cultural Association) was established as a Not-for-profit organization under the BC Societies Act, on June 28, 2023, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. BongMilanti is a platform for all Bengalis living in Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area to share their culture, stories, views and ideas to connect with each other and simply have fun.

Yesterday was truly a historic and proud moment for BongMilanti - Metro Vancouver Bengali Cultural Association - বংমিলান্তি Our board members and their families had the honour of being invited to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia by MLA Jagrup Brar It was an incredible experience to spend the day at the Assembly, meeting distinguished Ministers, MLAs, and many respected leaders from across the province.
What touched us the most was the genuine interest and warmth everyone showed toward BongMilanti and our mission. So many people were eager to learn more about our organization, our work within the community, and the vision we carry for the future. Being welcomed with such appreciation and encouragement was both humbling and inspiring.
This recognition is not just an achievement for BongMilanti, but for our entire Bengali community. It reflects the strength of our culture, our unity, and the collective efforts of every single member who has supported us along this journey. None of this would have been possible without your trust, encouragement, and continuous support.
We feel deeply proud today, not only for reaching this milestone, but for what it represents: a growing voice, stronger community connections, and a brighter future ahead. This is only the beginning. There is still a long road ahead, many dreams to fulfill, and many more milestones waiting to be achieved.
Yesterday, we proudly ticked off one important milestone , and together, we move forward toward many more.

It brings great joy to extend our sincerest thanks to every one of you who played an integral role in making this event a splendid triumph.

Photographers Saurabh Gupta and Neil Patra captured some memorable moments.

Additionally, our heartfelt gratitude extends to our generous sponsors whose unwavering support and contributions were instrumental in bringing our event to fruition. Your belief in our mission and your sponsorship were pivotal to the success of this event.

Our gratitude also extends to 8 vendors who participated in the event, bringing a diverse array of food, clothing, jewelry, and business stalls to enrich our celebration. Your contributions infuse vibrancy and excitement into the event, and we are indebted to you for your participation.

It was truly an honor to be invited by the Vancouver Odia Association to celebrate Odisha Divas with you all. On behalf of BongMilanti - Metro Vancouver Bengali Cultural Association - বংমিলান্তি would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for including us in such a vibrant and meaningful celebration.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cultural program and the wonderful company throughout the event. The warmth, love, and strong sense of community were deeply felt, and it beautifully resonated with BongMilanti’s own vision of celebrating culture, unity, and togetherness.

A special thanks to President Dolagobinda ji and his gracious wife Nibedita Dehury for their kind hospitality and for organizing such a memorable event.
