BPW Hastings & Prince Edward

BPW Hastings & Prince Edward Business and Professional Women is a non-sectarian, non-profit, non-partisan, feminist organization.

Individual and Corporate memberships are available so that employed and retired women can work together to advocate for women on such issues as retention of women in skilled trades, reduction of poverty and homelessness, and many more policies. We also have a commendation process through which we applaud the efforts of governments, individuals and other associations with similar mandates.

What a wonderful evening with Michele Venema, membership chair and owner of From Shadows to SoulLight Counselling! The Picture Tapping for Mental Health event was so impactful. It was wonderful to learn new skills, explore and experience this together.

Join us on June 8th at the Regent Theatre for a special screening of We Lend a Hand, a powerful documentary sharing the story of the Ontario Farmerettes and the important role women played in supporting farms during WWII.

The evening will also feature a Q&A with filmmaker Colin Field and author Bonnie Sitter, offering a deeper look into the history and inspiration behind the film and book.

A portion of proceeds from the evening will support the Alternatives for Women capital project, helping create safe and supportive housing for women and children in our community.
