DID YOU KNOW?.....That in 1939, Auxiliary minutes list the most popular and innovative fundraisers from the previous year? On November 26, 1938, the Auxiliary held it first "cellophane dinner". Capitalizing on the popularity of the new material at the time, they raised thousands of dollars by raffling off complete feasts wrapped in cellophane. The minutes note that "it proved a splendid success," and the dinners were even displayed in the windows of Provost Street stores.
