Panorama India was established in 1999, as a non-profit umbrella organization, to help unite all Indo-Canadian cultural associations and groups in the GTA, project a common identity based on their Indian heritage, and celebrate Unity in Diversity. The Indo-Canadian population in Ontario is large, prosperous, and vibrant, consisting of various regional groups, each with its own arts, culture, and l
anguage. Many of them have established their own individual community and/or cultural organizations. Panorama India was established in 1999 with the support of Consulate General of India as a non-profit umbrella organization with a goal to help unite all Indo-Canadian cultural associations and groups in the GTA and to project a common identity based on their Indian heritage and celebrate Unity in Diversity. It provides a platform for all Indian cultural associations, groups, and individuals to exhibit and showcase their arts and culture and to foster a better relationship between India and Canada. The Panorama family consists of Consulate General of India, various Indian Cultural Organizations and Schools, other Like-Minded Associations, our Patrons & Sponsors, our Board of Directors (past and present) and more importantly volunteers and individual members. Panorama India, while being a catalyst between the Indian and Canadian cultures, celebrates three main events including: The Republic Day of India, India's Independence Day and the Diwali celebration at Queen's Park with the Premier and other MPP's along with Seniors Day celebration, Athletics competition, Idol singing competition, Quiz on India etc. Our mandate: Educate, Celebrate and Collaborate - informs Canadians about our culture, teaches tolerance and instills pride in Indo-Canadians. We collaborate with most regional Indian cultural organizations in Canada as well as with various cultural schools in Canada to showcase our culture and the talent of Indo-Canadians.
