Furnishing Minds is back, and we’re collecting books for children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 for local families across the GTA. 💚

From adventure stories to classroom favourites, every book has the power to inspire confidence, creativity, and learning.

Last year, our community came together in an incredible way and this year, we’re hoping to reach even more children with the gift of reading. 📚

Donate your new or gently used books before June 30th and help us continue building a community rooted in care, education, and opportunity ✨

Our Green Dupatta team members Tiffany Ramnarine, and Aryana Sukhdeo were recognized at the Guyana Consulate, where they were presented with the One Guyana pin by Honorary Consul Mani Singh for their contributions and continued dedication to community work.

This special moment reflects what we stand for, celebrating culture, connection, and shared heritage. Experiences like this reinforce the importance of staying connected to the communities we serve and represent.

We are deeply grateful for opportunities that bring people together in such powerful ways, and proud of our team for the passion and commitment they bring to this work every day. 💚

There is nothing more powerful than women showing up for each other. 💚

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the joy, strength, and solidarity that grows when women uplift women.

Empowered women empower the world. ✨

A moment of recognition. A moment of unity. 🇬🇾✨

Seeing those flags on one of the world’s biggest stages reminded us that unity and representation aren’t just aspirations, it’s impossible to ignore.

For Guyanese and Caribbean communities, this wasn’t just a moment, it was visibility. Every island, every mainland country, every diaspora community. This is about more than a shoutout. It’s about Caribbean presence in mainstream media. This was belonging. This was proof that our cultures and stories deserve space as a part of the collective narrative.

And every time our region is acknowledged, it opens the door wider for the next generation to see themselves reflected in the global picture. 🌎💚

We are so proud to celebrate Nirmala and Anil on the launch of All About Guyana, a beautiful, educational picture book that introduces children to the culture, country, and community of Guyana 🇬🇾📚

This event was such a powerful moment for our community. Seeing families and children come together around stories that reflect who they are and where they come from reminds us why representation matters. This book is more than a story, it’s a meaningful step toward ensuring our children grow up feeling seen, connected, and proud of their roots.

The Green Dupatta team was honored to support you and witness your vision come to life. Your hard work, dedication, and love for community truly shone through, and this success is so well deserved. We can’t wait to see the impact this book continues to have for generations to come.

📖 All About Guyana is now available on Amazon in Canada and the U.S. the perfect gift for your nieces, nephews, and little ones to learn, connect, and celebrate culture. Link in our bio!
