The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) is a group of professionals in the field of children's culture with members from all parts of Canada. As a National Arts Service Organization, CANSCAIP supports and promotes children's literature through online forums, newsletters, workshops, meetings and other information programs for authors, illustrators, performers, parents, teachers, librarians, publishers and others. CANSCAIP has over 400 professional members and over 600 associate members—teachers, librarians, parents, publishers, emerging creators and others—who are interested in aspects of children's books, illustrations and performances.

Have you ever thought of your life as a path that you’re walking? And have you ever wondered where different forks in the path might take you? Jeremy Tankard has. In his CANSCAIP talk Jeremy will be looking at key moments in his life that have significantly shaped the development of his distinctive art style and his whole approach to creativity. It’s the unexpected forks in the path that are often the most interesting.
