"And since she has been appointed by God to be the Queen of heaven and earth, and is exalted above all the choirs of angels and saints, and even stands at the right hand of her only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, she presents our petitions in a most efficacious manner. What she asks, she obtains. Her pleas can never be unheard." Bl. Pius IX

Calling all young adults! Join us for the next Faith + Fitness on Sept 12. We will hike up Blue Mountain and celebrate Holy Mass. This year, we will hike in memory of Jonathan D'Souza, who passed away earlier this year. He is known by many for his involvement and service to young adult ministry.

Important Information:
🚩 The hike begins at 11 a.m. from the first parking lot, by the OCY Flag. The single-use Gondola and Hike Pass may be purchased for $42 at the Guest Services desk. (Opens at 9:30 a.m.) or online 3 days in advance for $37 (link on our website). Wear two socks to prevent blisters. Bring water and snacks. Dress for the weather.

Schedule:
🌅 11 a.m. - Begin Hike on Steep Waterfall Side (This is a challenging ascent. You can take the Gondola up and turn left and meet us by the big white tents.)
🙏 12 noon - Mass on top of the Mountain by the big white tents on the large rocks overlooking Georgian Bay.
🥾 1 p.m. - Walk to the other peak and pray the Rosary. Walk to end of path and down the mountain to the parking lot where we began. Total walk is about 20 km.
⛪ 6 p.m. - Adoration and Confession at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Collingwood (63 Elgin St., Collingwood, ON, L9Y 3L6)

Faith and Fitness events integrate exercise with spiritual practices, emphasizing that physical health is an essential component of spiritual growth. Through disciplined and prayerful fitness routines and excursions, participants are invited to cultivate a balanced life reflecting the unity of body and soul, and to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith, glorifying God in all aspects of their being.

“Mary is assumed into heaven: small and humble, she is the first to receive the highest glory. She, a human creature, one of us, attains eternity in soul and body. And there she awaits us as a mother waits for her children to come home.” Pope Francis

📢 SAVE THE DATE! 🗓️

Join the OCY for the Archdiocesan World Youth Day Mass 2026, open to all young adults ages 19 to 39.

Gather with young adults from across the Archdiocese for a powerful evening of faith, prayer and community as we celebrate the Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of Christ the King. The Mass will be celebrated by His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas More Parish, 2234 Ellesmere Rd, Scarborough, ON, M1G 3M9.

The 2026 World Youth Day theme is: “Take courage! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Chosen by the Vatican for the 40th World Youth Day, this theme calls young adults to place their confidence in Christ, who brings hope, strength and victory. This celebration also serves as a spiritual preparation for the international World Youth Day in Seoul in 2027. 🇰🇷

Come and be encouraged in your faith, strengthened by Christ and united with other young adults in this joyful celebration. Bring your friends and be part of this grace-filled evening. ❤️‍🔥🕊️
