Today, the Green Room children learned through curiosity, discovery and exploration! Through playful repetition, the children built upon their problem solving skills, strengthened their fine motor skills and explored with cause-and-effect🤩

This week in Blue Room, we learned from our third teacher, the environment! Our children explored the neighborhood on a walk, traveling by wagon, stroller, and on foot. Along the way, we noticed signs that fall is upon us, changing leaves, windy days, and even some pinecones waiting to be discovered! We brought our pinecones back to the classroom and transformed our collection into an art experience. With paintbrushes, hands, and lots of creativity, the children decorated their pinecones and enjoyed the process of exploring color, texture, and nature. What a wonderful way to connect with our environment and let nature inspire our learning!

This week in the Red Room we have been working daily on fine motor activities and lots of fun sensory play. On Wednesday, September 30 many of the children and all of the teachers dressed in the colour orange for Truth and Reconciliation Day. We listened to music as we tried using a rain stick and drum. We enjoyed orange coloured activities also!🧡

Today, the Green Room children showed up in Orange for Orange Shirt Day. They participated in various activities such as colouring and gluing their own orange shirts and reading books written by Indigenous authors.

Fall fun is in full swing in the Blue Room! Our little learners are exploring the season through sensory play, creative experiences, and hands-on activities that spark curiosity, thinking, and discovery. Learning through play, one little adventure at a time!
