Spelling Bee of Canada Spelling Bee of Canada (SBOC) organizes annual families of schools and community spelling bees aimed at youth 6 to 14 years of age.

SBOC was established in response to a need within the community for a stimulating, educational program, outside the regular school curriculum, which would focus specifically on English language basics.

What an incredible championship weekend! Congratulations to all of our participants, finalists, and champions who competed at the 39th Annual Spelling Bee of Canada Championship on May 23–24, 2026.

This year, we welcomed outstanding young spellers and writers from across Canada who demonstrated excellence, confidence, perseverance, and sportsmanship every step of the way. Whether you earned a trophy, placed as a finalist, participated in a writing competition, or represented your region on the national stage, you should be immensely proud of your accomplishments.
