Through their fifteen-year partnership, The Jamii Hub and Berkeley Castle have brought community arts into the heart of Toronto’s Esplanade neighbourhood!

Since 2011, they have hosted more than 400 arts events, 600 artists, and nearly 100,000 participants in Berkeley Castle’s restored 19th-century industrial complex, which continues to provide space, resources, and long-term stewardship to Jamii.

En quinze ans de partenariat, Jamii et Berkeley Castle ont transformé le quartier de l’Esplanade de Toronto en un carrefour pour les arts communautaires!

This year, arts leaders are meeting with parliamentarians to advocate for continued and increased federal investment in the arts, including a permanent $140 million increase to Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada.

We're grateful to our colleagues at Canadian Arts Coalition/Coalition canadienne des arts and PAA Advisory for championing this work and wishing everyone a productive time in !
