Ontario Prayer Breakfast

We gather the Christian community in support of Members of Provincial Parliament & City Councillors. This is the Ontario Prayer Breakfast.

The Ontario Prayer Breakfast is an annual opportunity for the Christian community to gather together to support our Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) in prayer. This is done by the physical presence of over 600 individuals
at an early morning breakfast who join in a “Prayer for Leadership” led by a guest from the Christian community. It is also a time of inspiration with an invited speaker

who shares their personal reflections on how the Lord has impacted their life and perspective. Each year we are pleased to have the participation of the leaders of the Liberal, New Democratic and Progressive Conservative Parties to read a portion of Scripture. A special musical guest is invited annually to add another
element of inspiration and blessing. We also pray for the members of our City Council and that we invite the
Mayor to read scripture. We are very happy to welcome individuals of all faiths and walks of life. As a community of Christ-centered believers,
it is our goal to nurture a Christ – like attitude in our greetings, table conversation and formal program. We are hopeful that you will feel welcome and compelled to attend as a visible demonstration of your faith and support for our Provincial Government.

Today, we pause to remember and give thanks for those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom.

As we honour their courage, we also pray for peace in our world and for all who continue to serve.

We will remember them.
