At Camp Quality, our mission is to give children affected by cancer and blood disorders, and their families, the chance to experience camp, build friendships, try new things and just be kids.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve shared some of the stories that show why that matters.

Camp is more than five days away from home. It is a chance for kids and families affected by cancer and blood disorders to make friends who understand, try something new, build confidence, foster independence, and simply be a kid.

Because Camp Quality is completely free for families, every child has the opportunity to participate.

Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At Camp Quality, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported,and included, . Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, , and acknowledge the truth of Canada's residential school system and its ongoing impacts on Indigenous communities.

Reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility. We encourage our Camp Quality community to take time today to learn from Indigenous voices, reflect on the Calls to Action, and consider how we can contribute to a future where every child can grow up with dignity, safety, and belonging.

Camp Quality Southern Ontario had magic weaved into every moment, giving kids affected by cancer and blood disorders the experience of just being a kids. Our campers had the opportunity to swim, canoe, try high ropes courses, and many more acitvities while being supported medically at camp! Thank you to everyone who helped make this week possible!

Camp Quality wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers.

Every summer, volunteers spend their week alongside our campers, supporting them to try new things, cheering them on, joining in the fun and being there for all the moments that make camp special. ✨

One of our volunteers shared what makes volunteering at Camp Quality so rewarding:

“Volunteering at Camp Quality is such a rewarding experience. Watching the campers smile, laugh, play, be silly, try new things, be brave and have their best camp experience possible reminds you why volunteering is so important and why you do what you do. The experience and support of the returning volunteers and the COC makes camp week successful and enjoyable experience for all.”

It takes a lot of people to make camp happen, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who gives their time to be part of it. 🎗️💛

The CN Tower / Tour CN is lighting up green, blue and white in honour of Bay Street Kicks Kids Cancer!

Corporate teams from across the city came together today to kick off a day of soccer, fundraising and fun, all in support of Camp Quality Canada’s programs for kids and families affected by childhood cancer.

For teens aged 14–17, Camp Quality New Heights is a chance to build confidence, make connections and discover what they’re capable of. 🏕️💚

This summer, one of our campers travelled across the country to join us in Ontario.
His parent wrote to us afterwards:

“He came home with stories, new friendships and memories that will stay with him for the rest of his life. What made Camp even more special was that he experienced it alongside other kids who have also faced cancer, who understand one another and what they have been through in a way that most people cannot. Cancer may be a part of their stories but there they were- experiencing joy, travelling, laughing, trying new things, making friends and living their lives fully! Take that, cancer!”

This is what a Camp Quality experience can mean— new friendships, new experiences and the confidence to take on what comes next. 🎗️💛

At Camp Quality, kids get a week to try new things, make friends, have fun and just be kids. 🎗️💚

One Camp Quality parent shared what that looked like for her daughter this summer:

“Our Daughter came home with so many stories and happy memories. It was wonderful to see how much she enjoyed the activities, made new memories, and had so much fun.”

“Knowing that she was surrounded by people who cared for her and helped her have such a positive experience gave us great peace of mind.”

For kids, it’s a week to have fun, make memories and just be themselves. And for parents, it’s knowing their child is in good hands. ✨
