We are proud to have supported a travel grant to the Cure HHT 16th HHT International Scientific Conference! This investment will ensure Canadian HHT research is represented at the conference, and clear the way for future young investigators to overcome the financial barriers to attending international scientific meetings and presenting their work to the broader HHT community.

Cure HHT is proud to announce the recipients of the Palmer Family Fund for Young Investigator Travel Awards for its 16th HHT International Scientific Conference! The awards help promising young investigators from around the world attend the conference, share their findings and build relationships with established leaders in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia research and care.

In addition to the Palmer Family Fund award recipients, 31 additional travel grants were made possible through the generous support of the Grace Nolan Foundation, Cure HHT and, for the first time, Cure HHT Canada.

By helping early-career scientists and clinicians enter the HHT field, present new ideas and establish international collaborations, these travel awards strengthen the pipeline of experts working toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Have you been diagnosed with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT)?

We are conducting a study to better understand people’s experience living with HHT and to obtain feedback on an app designed to record nosebleeds in HHT.

The study will involve completing a 10-minute background questionnaire and a 60-minute interview conducted via video call (Zoom).

This research will be used to help support the development of new therapies for HHT.

You will receive $75USD if you reside in the United States and $100CAD if you reside in Canada as compensation for your time spent participating in the study. You will be compensated via a gift voucher.

NEWS: HHT is featured in the new issue of American Society of Hematology's Blood!

A study now published in print reports initial findings from CHORUS, the first national US registry created to track the impact of HHT. The report includes data from the first 600 participants enrolled across 15 HHT Centers of Excellence, and reinforces our path forward: the need for earlier diagnosis, preventive care, and the development of effective therapeutics for HHT.

Cure HHT Chief Executive Officer Marianne Sergott Clancy, shared: “The first CHORUS Registry findings are now published in print—and being featured by ASH across its library of journals and digital media, reaching more than 25,000 hematologists. That is a meaningful step forward for our community. Patients and physicians have put in the work, and the data they provided towards our registry is being used already to make the invisible burden of HHT more clear, more measurable, and harder to ignore.”

The CHORUS registry was a major achievement for Cure HHT when it was launched in 2023—the first of its kind to collect comprehensive natural history data on US patients with HHT. We are grateful for this recognition from Blood and we are hopeful this publication will help us spread awareness of HHT and its impacts.
