One of Toronto’s most beautiful free summer events is fluttering back this August. 🦋🌼

The TRCA Butterfly Festival returns to Tommy Thompson Park on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., celebrating the incredible migration of monarch butterflies and the more than 50 butterfly and moth species that have been recorded at the park.

Visitors can enjoy guided butterfly walks, kid-friendly games and activities, conservation exhibits, community booths and opportunities to learn about the amazing 4,000-kilometre journey monarch butterflies make to Mexico each year.

Admission is completely free, and an event shuttle will operate throughout the day between the park’s Main Entrance and Pedestrian Bridge. Nature Exploration Kits will also be available to borrow from the Nature Centre on a first-come, first-served basis.
