Black History Month is a time to honour the contributions of Black leaders, organizations, and changemakers. champions for Black youth empowerment and opportunity.

At the heart of their impact is CEE Essentials, a comprehensive workforce development toolkit designed to uplift young Black professionals. They ensure meaningful, person-centered support through culturally relevant, trauma-informed training for community partners.

As an *AMDF Transform Grant* recipient, CEE is transforming our community, driving organizational empowerment and fostering innovative, collaborative impact across sectors.

🏠 Youth Without Shelter 🏠

We had an inspiring visit to (YWS), where we saw firsthand their incredible work providing at-risk youth with a safe home and mental health support.

YWS serves a diverse group of homeless or at-risk youth aged 16-24—over 90% identifying as BIPOC, 35% as LGBTQ2+, and 30% as refugees. Their 24/7 mental health services offer therapy, counseling, workshops, and after-care support, to address complex needs through on-site clinicians, case management, and external providers.

As an *AMDF Inspire Grant recipient* YWS is dedicated to capacity-building through strategic program development, fostering deep, lasting, and far-reaching community impact.
