There's a special moment that takes place in LRBT hospitals every single day - a bandage comes off after surgery, and someone is then able to see clearly again.

For a child, it might mean seeing a blackboard, or a book, or their own reflection. For a mother, that might mean finally seeing her child's face again. For an elder, it might mean recognizing a grandchild across the room.

These are small, quiet moments. But they are also everything.
For over 40 years, LRBT has restored sight to millions of people across Pakistan. Because in our eyes, clear vision isn't a luxury. It's a right.

What started as a dream to eradicate preventable blindness has become one of Pakistan’s largest networks of free eye care.

LRBT Founding Trustee, Yacoobali Zamindar, takes us back to where it all began, while Naeem Zamindar reflects on a 40-year journey of turning that vision into reality.

Because when you restore someone’s sight, you give them more than the ability to see. You give them back their independence and their future. For 4 decades, LRBT has been there for those who need it most; providing quality eye care, free of cost.

5 days of learning, collaboration and better eye care!

In partnership with Brien Holden Foundation (BHF) and with the support of Optometry Giving Sight, LRBT recently conducted a 5-day training program on Clinical and Functional Low Vision Management, bringing together eye care professionals from LRBT hospitals across Pakistan.

The training strengthened clinical and functional approaches to low vision care, equipping participants with enhanced skills in assessment, management and rehabilitation to better support patients in achieving greater independence.

A new chapter for eye care in Tharparkar.

Together with The Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), LRBT proudly inaugurated the Primary Eye Care Clinic in Mithi, expanding access to quality, free eye care for communities closer to home.

Every new clinic means shorter journeys, earlier diagnosis, timely treatment, and brighter futures for thousands of families.
