Working with Seniors: Complex Needs & Housing Stability in Toronto 🏡👵👴

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of bringing together community professionals for a workshop focused on supporting older adults with complex needs and promoting housing stability in Toronto.

Participants heard from experts across the housing, mental health, elder abuse prevention, counselling, and legal sectors, gaining valuable insights into:
🏠 Affordable and supportive housing options
💙 Seniors’ mental health and crisis supports
🛡️ Elder abuse prevention and response
⚖️ Legal rights and advocacy for older adults
🤝 Community resources and collaboration

📣 Join us for EYET’s Best Practice Series Workshop: Indigenous Supports & Housing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

🏠 This full-day training session will explore services and housing-related supports available to Indigenous people in Toronto/Tkaronto through a panel discussion and networking activity.

Participants will also reflect on the impacts of colonization, Indigenous housing instability, and how service providers can work toward supportive practice with Indigenous clients.

👥 Who should attend:
Housing support workers, case managers, social service providers, and other related professionals employed by agencies or organizations within Toronto.
